Photo Shoot today for Gallo. It was all about being a hipster in this crazy cool San Francisco loft.

Snapshots

My agent said a client needed some recent snap shots (to show what I look like right now)..so my wife grabbed her camera & took a few shots out on our deck. One while I was grilling (#7) and the rest right after chowing down on our Tri-Tip steak, in five minutes with two shirt changes--we got 7 shots. (Do I have anything in my teeth?) Thanks to the wifey!

California Tourism Commerical

Hello Squaw Valley--you can't miss these snow pants.


Got to spend a day at beautiful Squaw Valley in Tahoe shooting a California Tourism commercial.
One of the cool parts were the talented athletes that were a part of the commercial: Olympic medalist (and pink-haired hipster, pictured below) Shannon Bahrke, Olympic Gold medalist Julia Mancuso,



and the Jamaican U.S. Ski team member Errol Kerr. Errol was cool and for this picture took me off guard by picking me up.

One of the scenes for the commercial (coming out fall 2010) was a Reggae, dance party with a steel drum band (watch the video below).



And the spinning talents of DJ Alex Merrell. (even though she really didn't spin she just "acted" like she did).




The views were great, the weather was perfect and really the people we got to work with were fun and humble. That's the best thing--when working with talented people to find humility and generosity. I like that. Great day, great place, and great people to work with.

All About Alice

I love when stuff works like this. I got a call from a friend who said an actor bailed out of a short film. They needed someone quick and I fit the type. I got a great lead role in a cool little short inspired by the likes of David Lynch and Memento, and I didn't have to audition. Whew! Thankfully SAG was willing to do a quick approval of the project and I found myself on set and in front of the camera.

First day started the shoot at a seedy little hotel, and it definitely was. I had to walk around barefoot and I was afraid of what I might pick up.

Then shot a scene in this bathtub where, of course, they hot water wasn't working. Needless to say I was very cold. Lots of twists in this film...
Shot in my good buddy photographer John Meyer's house--who had a perfect bedroom for one of the scenes. And I worked with fellow Marla Dell Talent actor Beth Bemis.
This short film has some great scenes to act in--car crash, club scene, strangled by an attacker and waking up in a mysterious location with bruise on my head.

"Reps"

Was working with Scot Hunt of Net Filmz on a little project that started out as a potential pilot that has morphed into a a short called, "REPS."

Got to shoot at this house.

I played a supporting role--a granola, couch surfer brother (named Yiani) to a Type A pharmaceutical drug representative. A fast talking, pill peddling, womanizing, ego maniac, successful younger brother to my character. I was hanging outside his house (very nice pad) to ask his forgiveness.
Cool thing was friend and make-up artist Lisa Martinez was on the set, too.
